Kathouse Chili Verde

Kathy Stewart

2001 3rd Annual Chili

Verde Championship

Kathy Stewart won the World's Championship Chili Verde competition after only competing in the qualifying cookoffs since 2000. She and her husband Mike began cooking traditional red chili as a team in 1985. Kathy says to make life easier at home, they decided not to compete against each other. She qualified for the World's Championship by winning the chili verde competition at the Copper World Classic in Phoenix, Arizona.
